  Knowledge neglected
Government and PoliticsJJ writes "We all, not only filipinos, tend to forget a crucial element for solving a problem; The question why. From corruption to egoism the cause of "crap mentality" must be known. Too many people tend to believe that force, strength and money is the power to improve. Which alot of filipinos knows that it is the wrong way of thinking and therefore named it so. But even those people could not see any cause or any solution to this so-called crap mentality except to let the people have a stronger discipline.

Government and PoliticsBelow is the statement of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines on World Press Freedom Day 2006
--------------------

We commemorate World Press Freedom Day today anguishing over the lack of genuine freedom of expression in our country and girding our loins to resist yet other attempts to muzzle the Philippine Press. The statistics are grim enough:

  Bangungot
Government and Politicssilentwater writes "Sa pagnanasang makadampot ng kaligayahan

Mahirap lumaya…
Kahit gumising sa bangungot sa umaga.

As the political events of 2005 unfolded, and one reads between the lines and factors in the interpretations by pundits of different persuasion, it would lead one to a treasure of insights.

Here is one insight worthy of an episode."

Paint the Nation Brown! Students/Youth Unite to Demand US Government to Correct
Government and PoliticsSan Francisco, Bay Area – October 11, 2005 – Filipino youth and students continue to re-learn and re-tell the history of their elders.

Assembly Bill (AB) 15, authored by Assemblyman Jerome Horton (D-Inglewood) and co-authored by Speaker pro Tem Leland Yee (D-San Francisco/Daly City), specifically encouraged the instruction to include a component of personal testimony of Filipinos who were involved in World War II.
