The Philippines Welcomes Orphans International With Open Heart
MANILA – New York City-based Orphans International Worldwide (http://www.oiww.org)
expands to The Philippines this year with the synergy of creative compassion by
what some observers have termed “two soul brothers separated at birth.” One,
American philanthropist Jim Luce, and the other Filipino advocacy journalist
Marc Guerrero. These two leaders, founder and chairman of both Orphans
International Worldwide and the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation Orphans
International America in New York City, and the owner of Marc Guerrero
Communications Inc, a knowledge media management firm in Manila, are to use
Guerrero’s term, “volting-in” for the sake of the orphaned children around the
world.

New Orleans and the first Filipino-American Family |

The New Orleans tombs were like skyscrapers above the city water marks and were uniquely tourist attractions. The descendants of Madriaga were mostly enshrined at the St. Vincent Cemetery, which the family had bought. Felipe and Bridget however were buried in the nearby fishing parish. The exact dates are not known but some remembered a big storm flooded the area and washed their coffins to the river and then the sea. The Felipe couple however is listed on the last census prior to the US Civil War. His children dated records engraved in stone in the family mausoleum.

Dear friends, defenders of children, concerned citizens,
The kids behind bars as shown on CNN and ITN all over the world can be released
if there is a home where the court can send them and they can escape the jails
with pedophiles and criminals. There are un-used government land and buildings
that can be converted to children's homes.
Land was bought (some from politicians) and factories and houses built at
bloated cost with relief funds donated by the international community for
victims of the Pinatubo volcanic eruption in 1991. These were hardly used for
the victims.

I am attaching the announcement on the appeal of Amb. Albert del Rosario to all
Filipino-American community members to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane
Katrina.
The Philippine Consulate General, San Francisco, is available to receive the
donations made out to the American Red Cross and forward these to the Philippine
Embassy, Washington, D.C. AS the Ambassador says, all these donations will be
consolidated and he will present it as a lump sum to the American government on
behalf of he Filipino American community. Please help us spread the word.
