New Look, Better Features, Same Grit |
|
 During the past couple of weeks Gutom.org – The Portal for the Pinoy Perspective, has been undergoing through some major changes. This includes a complete redesign of the site to provide its members and readers a new look and feel for the site. In addition to this, new features have been added, while the old favorites have been improved.
However, with all the changes that was implemented Gutom.org – The Portal for
the Pinoy Perspective remains true to its core mission of providing a worthwhile
community for Filipinos across the globe and allow them to network with their
peers and freely present their individual perspectives on how they see the
current global events, the state of their homeland and the world as a whole.
A NEW LOOK AND FEEL
If you have been a regular member or visitor of Gurom.org – The Portal for the
Pinoy Perspective, you will immediately notice the aesthetic change. Well,
simply put it wasn’t subtle. However, knowing that we all have different tastes,
Team Gutom has gone a step further in this site redesign, Members can now
customize the look of Gutom.org by selecting from an array of Themes. There are
currently over 20 themes to choose from.
Gutom.org also improved many of its popular features:
- THE FORUMS:
The busiest section of the site with over 450 topics and 2900 posts as of this
writing has been drastically improved, giving members of the site
functionalities and capabilities to make the discussion forums more enjoyable
and easier to use. We are continually improving this section with a planned
addition of an Arcade feature for folks who want to take a breather from our
“thought-provoking” discussions.

- NEWS SECTION:
It has always been very easy to post your own stories, opinions and news in
Gutom.org. Just by simply going to this link:
http://www.gutom.org/modules.php?name=Submit_News, folks can easily put in
their article for consideration by Gutom.org editors. Improvement to the news
section on how they are viewed by readers have been improved. More headlines
are now available for quick view at Gutom.org’s home page at
http://www.gutom.org/.
- CLASSIFIED ADS SECTION:
We completely revamped the look and feel of Gutom.org’s Classified Ads
Section.

now allows you to post pictures for your ads and in addition it shows visitors
the most popular ads and Posters will now have up to date information on what
is going on with their ads and in addition, new ads will also soon going to be
headlined in Gutom.org’s homepage.
- EVENT CALENDAR:
The Gutom.org Event Calendar has also been completely revamped with a new look
and feel and allowing Members and Visitors to see events in a Calendar style
view. The next 5 Upcoming events are also prominently shown in the right hand
column of the site letting visitors see them wherever they are in the site.

- CHAT ROOM:
Gutom.org’s Chat Room has also been drastically improved. Members can create
their own room, invite other members and have an enjoyable chat experience.

Our list of online publications is continually growing. With this feature we
hope to provide our dedicated members a repository of valuable information
that they could use for their research, study or simply for basic acquisition

- YELLOW PAGES:
The Gurom.org has also been completely revamped allowing members and visitors
to search for Filipino-related businesses around the globe. For a small fee,

We are now offering various levels of low-cost advertising designed to reach
you niche market. With a growing network of partner/sister sites, Gutom.org
